Featuring NARCY, Barahmé, Timaj Garad, Binta Diallo -- October 13, 2023 we gathered in Edmonton for Mosquers Film Festival just days after Oct 7th. No one knew what to think, feel or say. The weekend was full of laughs and excitement with an unrelenting undertone of uncertainty, sorrow and pain.

Months before, I partnered with Mosquers to setup a studio in the hotel to record an EP in collaboration with the many artists that come to the Festival from around the world. The goal was to capture the unique cultures, experiences and styles of the talented artists in our global community in a project that reflected the sense of safety and community @mosquersfilmfest provides for us each year. With the added weight of Oct 7th, we created something so raw and genuine... and unexpected. Every artist that jumped on the mic or picked up an instrument gave us their souls. The little studio room was packed with 20+ people witnessing the recording in real-time. It felt like we were all processing the moment throughout the weekend on our own, then came together on this EP to share our journey. One of the most beautiful experiences of my career.
